PRETTY BOYS - SUPERSTITION (2016)
A VR music experience from Kallisti, Inc.
presented at Kaleidoscope Los Angeles (2016)
(Spatial Audio for this video is Android compatible, version 4.2 or greater. Best with great headphones.)
Director, Producer, & 3D Audio: Lisa Battersby (LisaBattersby.com)
This is an exaggerated First Order Ambisonic Field, created by layering stems with altered projection maps, to increase psychoacoustic expectation.
Example of obstacle: The vocalist’s microphone failed, my assistant did not notice the level had flat-lined, but this was the best take.
Solution: I didn’t own Izotope RX at the time, so I created difference filters for the guitar mic, and the sax mic, and scraped the vocals from them, then rebuilt the new vocal stem.
Responsible for:
Everything from the performance onward, including visuals.
Mic placement, audio recording, audio engineering, spatial audio design, videography, editor, Visual graphics. audio pipeline, transfer to platform.

PROBING ORB (2017)
Test level of localization in FB 360 Second OrderAmbisonics advancement.
N.B. The visuals for Probing Orb and Spactual are exactly the same, however the music should evoke a completely different set of emotions. The point here is that audio carries the story. You can close your eyes, but you can't close your ears.

None of the audio is from that day. All of the audio stems are from my recorded library.

SPACTUAL - 3D MUSIC TEST (2017)
IF YOU'VE NEVER HEARD SPATIAL AUDIO, GRAB YOUR ANDROID PHONE, YOUR BEST HEADPHONES, AND CHECK THIS OUT!!! Please keep in mind that the music and visuals are meant to compliment one another, NOT meant to line up. The lens flare keeps you oriented in the environment, while the ball reminds you to move your head around, and experience spatial audio.
